WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF BREAST CANCER?
Cancer grows in the breast over time. While it may not cause any symptoms in the early stages, later symptoms such as palpable breast hardness, nipple or skin retraction, and nipple bleeding may occur.
Cancer grows in the breast over time. While it may not cause any symptoms in the early stages, it may later cause symptoms such as palpable breast hardness, nipple or skin retraction, and bleeding from the nipple. It then spreads to the lymph nodes in the armpit on the same side, causing them to enlarge. In more advanced stages, it can spread to vital organs such as the brain, liver, and lungs, causing death.
If you notice any of the following changes, you should consult a doctor immediately: A palpable hardness or lump in the breast lasting longer than two weeks; Thickening, swelling, or discoloration of the breast skin; Thickening, redness, or soreness of the nipple; Inward retraction of the breast or nipple; Changes in the shape of the breast; Changes in the position of the nipples; and Nipple discharge can be signs of cancer.
