WHAT IS DIGITAL MAMOGRAPHY?
Devices produced with the technological advancements that replaced the mamography film, which is normally used as an analog detector, with digital detectors are called digital mamography.
Digital mamography devices are those that have been replaced by digital detectors, typically used as an analog detector, through technological advancements.
This technological advancement is similar to the transition from analog cameras, which typically require image processing, to digital cameras. Digital mamography devices use digital detectors instead of mamography film, and the resulting images are evaluated on special, high-resolution screens or printed onto film-like printouts.
